Yes, you are right. The logic ground and the power ground should be connected together to make IR2110 work.

I had a argue with one of my friend about whether IR2110 is electricity isolated or not. I don't think so, I think that logical ground and power ground should be connected together to make IR2110 work, but she says it's not necessary because she think that IR2110 has some kind of function that can isolate the logical circuits and the power circuit like Optocoupler. I have read the PDF of IR2110 may times and i'm still not sure about the answer. Could you tell me the answer? i need authoritative voice......
